Engineering Intern I
M-F/8-5/40hr.wk. Responsible for all elements of roadway & transportation design; collect & analyze data to plan & design projects; develop scoping documents incl. Project Assessments, scoping letters, Design Concept Reports & AASHTO reports; design of vertical alignments, horizontal alignments, roadway superelevation, roadway modeling, grading, interchange design & bridge clearance; prepare & check design computations & quantity estimates; create & prepare cost estimates, cross sections & earthwork reports, geometry reports & quantity reports for project submittals; create & prepare documents for public meetings; reduce designs to working drawings & perform drafting; prepare plans & specifications, attend project meetings and interface w/ clients, gov’t agencies, utility companies & public; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Bentley Inroads XM Edition V08.09.01.42, MicroStation Version 08.05.02.55, AutoTURN, COGO, Visual Basic, & horizontal & vertical curve analyzers.
